272: When God Breaks Your Heart Part 2

July 5, 2024

Lifeโ€™s toughest moments often lead us to question, “Why is God letting this happen to me?” For Pastor Ed Underwood, this question became all too real when he faced the agony of chronic leukemia. Despite his desperate prayers, healing seemed out of reach, leaving him broken and questioning. Yet, it was through this profound suffering that Ed experienced a transformative revelation from God, changing his heart and life forever.

Join us as Ed, Executive Officer of Re Centered Group and seasoned pastor, shares his journey and the powerful lessons on faith, trust, and God’s grace that he learned along the way. Whether you’re enduring your own trials or seeking deeper understanding, Ed’s story offers hope and encouragement that God is with us, even in our darkest hours.

Ed Underwood is the executive officer and lead counselor of Recentered Group, a ministry dedicated to helping churches flourish by fostering love within their communities and empowering leaders to build disciple-making environments. With over 40 years of pastoral experience, including 21 years as the lead pastor of the historic Church of the Open Door in Southern California, Ed brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to his ministry. He is also a prolific author, with several books to his name, including When God Breaks Your Heart. We are honored to welcome Ed Underwood to Saving Grace..
