Her path to Grace began in 2018 during a gathering at her church. A chance encounter with the Grace Asia team introduced her to the MDiv program. Initially hesitant, she carried the information with her and sought divine guidance through prayer. It took three years before she felt a clear sign from God that this educational pursuit was indeed a calling she should embrace.

One of the catalysts for Niermie’s decision came when a staff member at Grace reached out to her. She considers the support shown toward her a testament to the school’s dedication to its students, as the staff is very patient and convincing. Through this experience, she sensed God directing her toward the academic journey. It became clear that pursuing an MDiv aligned with her experience in counseling, teaching, and coaching, especially for children and youth. Consequently, she decided to enroll at the seminary.

As a student, navigating the demands of a full-time job in the corporate world posed significant challenges for Niermie. The tight schedule compelled her to skip a semester and drop a subject. However, the school’s caring approach strengthened her decision to continue studying. She praises the staff’s eagerness to reach out and guide her. She can still remember how a staff member persistently inquired about her decision. For Niermie, it feels like God is pursuing her for ministry.

As a working professional, the online educational system provided by Grace proved crucial in accommodating her demanding schedule. According to her, Grace’s commitment to creating an accessible and attainable education with flexible scheduling options is pivotal in her continued pursuit of her theological studies.
