The iTEP Exam
If they are seeking admission to our English programs, seminary applicants who do not speak English as a native or first language will be taking this language exam.
Using the iTEP exam, we can objectively measure our incoming students’ ability to handle seminary coursework in English, and their iTEP scores will also help us determine if eligible applicants can be supported through GELP, our seminary preparation program.

Alternative Language Placement
- Have you taken a language exam aside from the iTEP and would like to know if you are eligible for admission to our English seminary programs?
- Check if the exam is found on this list of CEFR-based English language exams. If you have taken ONE of these, scan a clear copy of your score report and prepare to send it to your Admissions Advisor.
- Your score report will be assessed and you will receive confirmation if you’re eligible for GELP training.
