Master of Theology (ThM)

Credit Hours

Years

The ThM degree is the highest graduate-level academic degree available at Grace. The ThM degree is 29 credits beyond the MDiv (for a total of 124 credits). Most coursework is in biblical languages and research, culminating in the thesis, the capstone project. The ThM also prepares students to enter post-graduate (doctoral) research programs such as a PhD or ThD. This degree is also beneficial for those who desire to teach in an academic institution and/or who desire to be more effective in their teaching and preaching ministry.

Applicants for the ThM program must have completed the Master of Divinity (a minimum of 90 credit hours, including one year each of biblical Greek and Hebrew), or equivalent, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, prior to enrollment. Students may transfer up to 14 credit hours beyond their earned MDiv into the ThM Program from another accredited graduate institution.
